I took the liberty of gathering everything we know about KH2: FM+ o.o
I'll add parts of GTX's CoM compilation to complete it.
On September 20, 2006, it was finally announced that a remake to Kingdom Hearts II would be released in Japan, crowned Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+. This set would contain Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix as well as a 3D remake of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, called Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.
~Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix~
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix was revealed to have much more than we could have ever anticipated, many of the things fans thought were to be revealed in a possible sequel have been scrunched into this massive remake. Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix will not only have brand new cutscenes, including secret meetings between the Organization, new information about Namine, and unrevealed information about Roxas, it will have an onslaught of other new features. It will have English voice-acting and Japanese subtitles, since the Japanese tend to be fond of English voice-acting.
Some of the new gameplay features added, include the missed Mushroom Heartless from Kingdom Hearts. These mushroom heartless resemble the Organization, and are said to be quite difficult to defeat. We are not sure if there will be other mushroom heartless like this, but it would be a nice addition.
There is also a new drive form that resembles Sora's KH1 costume. Sora's new form in the game will be called "Limit Form" and that it will allow you to use abilities from KH1 such as Dodge Roll:
Other new added gameplay features include a tapped up difficulty, maybe even a new difficulty level. You can also battle every single Organization member, including those from Kingdom Hearts CoM in the Colisseum this time around. It is said that the time you battle the Organization members in the Colisseum will be extremely difficult even on Beginner difficulty, and that they will be stronger than Sephiroth. In KH2 FM you also get to finally battle the 13th Organization Member which was impossible in KH2:
KH2 FM includes many new additions, perhaps even new Keyblades or bosses we do not know about yet. We know that there is a new map area in Hollow Bastion and that there might be other new map areas in KH2 FM as well.
KH2 FM also did something new with the secret ending trailer. They've added more onto this. There's a scene where the knight in the trailer has his mask broken off and you see part of his face. There was an extra scene where Xemnas was speaking to the Knight as he lay sprawled on the ground in Castle Oblivion. He called him "friend". However, this scene has been removed from the game by the development team, due to confusion.
Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix will also have Sora don a new costume while in Christmas Town:
~Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories~
The other side to KH2 FM, is Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. This game, is of course, a brand new 3D remake of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, including everything from the original game including Reverse Rebirth, plus additional content.
Nomura also said that having saved data on a memory card from both Re:Chain of Memories and KH2 Final Mix will have a great effect. This might mean new cutscenes or gameplay elements, we're not sure.
In Re: CoM you get to battle all the Organization members from Chain of Memories, and at some point in the game you will be able to re-battle them all over again whenever you like. This game is rendered in full 3D and of course you will be able to play as Riku in Reverse Rebirth. New cards, bonuses and scenes were also promised to be seen in this game.
Some of the new additional content includes fighting Zexion instead of it just being a cutscene. Zexion's weapon has been revealed to be a weapon that can morph itself into various forms. Zexion's element is Illusion. You will be able to battle him in Re:Chain of Memories.
It is said Re:Chain of Memories will also include bonus cinematic content.
Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories will also bring back the Reaction Command, but this time it is said it will have to be executed more carefully.
All the elements from Chain of Memories are back, including leveling-up, cardbreaks, Goofy and Donald and other party cards, stocks are returning, and basically everything is just remade in 3D with some extra features.
All the voice acting will be in Japanese with Japanese subtitles, however, there will only be voice acting in between Castle levels, but not in the actual worlds themselves.
These two games will come together as one package labeled Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+. It is being released in Japan March 29th, 2007. An interenational release is likely, but not confirmed. However, EGM, 1up.com and PSM have confirmed it coming in Fall 2007, but we don't have an official confirmation from Square Enix as of yet. There is guaranteed to be more information between now and the game's launch, so be sure to check back for more info.
